Family Carers Ireland's PAWS FOR A CAUSE

About this event

Who are family carers?

Family carers provide (unpaid) care at home for loved ones such as children or adults with additional needs, physical or intellectual disabilities, frail older people, those with palliative care needs or those living with chronic illnesses, mental ill-health or addiction.

There are HALF A MILLION people in Ireland who are in a caring role and 67,000 young carers under 18. Please help us to help them.

We believe no one should have to care alone.

What is Paws for a Cause?

Proudly brought to you Family Carers Irelandthe national charity supporting family carers in communities all over our country, Paws for a Cause is our national fundraising and awareness campaign, taking place during National Carers Week, 13th-19th June.

We are asking the people of Ireland to get out with/without your pooch and walk (run, cycle or scoot) 24km over 7 days in solidarity with Ireland’s 500,000+ family carers and the 24/7 nature of many caring roles. We will all likely provide care or need care at some point in our lives. Please support those who are caring today. It could be your tomorrow.

IT PAYS TO PAWS!

Everyone who registers is entered into our PAW DRAW to WIN A SIGNED IRELAND RUGBY JERSEY with thanks to our Paws Ambassador, Irish and Leinster rugby star, Ryan Baird!
